Surround yourself with beautiful things
There is beauty all around us but sometimes it’s not easy to see. I’m changing the environment that I live in, substituting things I wasn’t pleased with, with stunning, majestic scenes.
My friend, Elaine, wrote to me and shared the sentiment that “beautiful things can happen in beautiful places”. That was poetry to my ears and I thought about it a lot this week.
I know that we attract what our minds are set upon but maybe being in a beautiful location positions us in a place where beauty is drawn to us. How inspiring is that!

Beautiful soul
It’s time that you go
To where your loveliness reflects
In the lakes, the hills, the fields, the trees
Your beautiful essence
Captures the quintessence
Of unfolding dreams
Taking flight, soaring high across land and seas.
With a change of scenery
More time to live leisurely
An open mind and open heart
You will attract the things in life you need
Start afresh on a blank canvas
Create in colours and write stanzas
It’s your time to excel
Living freely, boldly, happily – you will succeed.
May your cup overflow
And may it leave traces that
