2020 has bearly begun and I've already done a good deed!
Now, you wouldn’t expect anything less of me, would you? The daughter of my dad’s childhood friend was visiting London from the USA. My dad asked me to call her and as she was alone on a Saturday night, I made a plan to meet her for a few drinks and a boogie. Before setting off, I said to my mum that there was a damsel in distress and I was her knight in shining armour, on my way to turn her night around. My mum looked at me and replied, “So, you’re a knight now?!!!” That made me laugh!
I’ve been thinking a lot about how some of us lovely ladies have been raised on the rhetoric that our knight will someday come and find us. And for some of us, that has proved to be true. Whilst others are waiting and waiting…… Is the love of our lives a hunky, dreamy man? Or could the love of our lives be our friends? I know there are different kinds of love. Friend, if you’re waiting for your knight in shining armour, maybe I could lend a hand, take you out, twirl you on the dancefloor, go on holiday, make memories…… Just a thought!! Much love xx
