Fairytale Ending

I was feeling very glum about how my life has worked out.  Things that I had expected to happen, hadn’t materialised.  I thought I’d put all these feelings into a poem – one full of bitterness!

I wrote “Fairytale Ending” and howled with laughter by the end of it.  It put a huge smile on my face, lifted my troubles and got rid of my “woe is me” feelings.

I hope it makes you smile too!

Fairytale Ending

Let me share how the fairytale ends.

The father disowns the daughter

The mother reports the son

The sisters rob from each other

The brothers get shot by a gun.

The princess contracts an illness

The prince loses his sight

The jester gets high on substances

The wizard falls from a great height.

The wicked continue to prosper

The poor continue to rot

The children starve of hunger

The elderly piss in a pot.

The birds refrain from singing

The trees have withered leaves

The sun is never shining

The villains do as they please.

The monsters rule the streets

The heroes have all fled

Your enemies land on their feet

Everyone you love is dead.

And nobody lives happily ever after.
