For Everybody with a Body & Skin

My good friend and fellow poet Veronica Ebanks launched her healthcare product range at the end of 2017 and she asked me to preform spoken word at her product launch party.

To understand her products, I asked Veronica if they were designed for men as well as women.

Full of passion, Veronica replied “It’s for Everybody!!!!  It’s for Everybody with skin and a scalp!!!”

This made me laugh and I began to think of other things which was for Everybody – such as exercise and healthy eating.  And from this the poem “For Everybody with a Body and Skin” was born.

Move your body

Shake it about

Walk, run, or jump

With gusto and clout

Strengthen your core

The results will make you grin

Come on Everybody with a body and skin

 

Eat a balanced diet

More fruit and more veg

More food that give you energy

To give you the edge

Drink plenty of water

Put the bad stuff in the bin

Consume well Everybody with a body and skin

 

Get the products

The oils and the creams

Lather them over your body

To feel supreme

Treat yourself with kindness

This is how you win

Let’s indulge Everybody with a body and skin

 

Self-care isn’t frivolous

It is a must

Self-love is the answer

The magic stardust

Let’s promote our well-being

Take care of the body we’re in
