There are times when I write about love, or more precisely I write about not being in love and wanting to be in love.  But Hallelujah, Praise the Lord – there have been times when I’ve written about love from the perspective of being in a relationship!

My most significant relationship has been with someone who is opposite to me in so many ways.  One distinction is that I’m a ‘City Girl’ and he’s a ‘Country Boy’!!  When he talks about where he’s from, I go all dreamy and weak in the knees!!!  What is more attractive than a man walking around the countryside, doing manly things? Answers below, please!!! Lol!!!

He’s from a different landscape

He awakes to picturesque scenes

He steps out to fields

Before daybreak

Strolls around the lake

Accompanied by his dog

No other person present.

Sometimes he spots the deers

All the time I wish to be there.

 

He talks about cutting wood for the fire

And working on the land

He’s promised to take me fishing

I dream of rolling around with him near the water’s edge

 

I want to learn the names of every tree

And grow vegetables

I want to be comfortable around animals

And get lost with him in the woods

I want to camp outside under the stars

And kiss him in the moonlight

I want to walk barefoot

Breathe in clean air

I want to understand the earth.

 

My world is different

I’ve lived it, loved it and known it

For always

I hear planes overhead

I told him the advantages of being close to a getaway

He lives in a place he never wants to getaway from

A place others getaway to

His world is pretty

I want to be a part of his world

He doesn’t know it yet

I’ve already packed!
